I would like to take this opportunity to answer a question that I get asked frequently, what makes me a back pain specialist. The first and in my opinion the most important reason is because I herniated a disc when I was 19 years old. I have lived with the chronic pain of degenerative disc disease for over 32 years. I know the pain, disability and frustration first hand. Secondly, my undergraduate degree is in psychology where I studied the psychological effects that chronic pain can have on someones life. Thirdly, my chiropractic doctorate degree requires four years of in depth study of not only the body but also the techniques to relieve imbalances that can cause pain. Fourthly, I have a post graduate certification focusing on the effects of spinal trauma. Lastly, I have worked professionally for almost 20 years, working with over 10,000 people with some sort of pain syndrome, successfully relieving pain in most cases. In the 30 plus years that I have had this problem, I have never had back surgery, never had a steroid shot, I've never even had a pain pill for back pain. I have always managed my back pain with the strategies and techniques that I recommend for you. If you or someone you know is having back pain I would like to invite you to call our office at 601-483-2500 and see if my experience can help.
